Struggling to Find Precision Wire EDM in DFW?
If you’re sourcing wire EDM services in Dallas, you’ve probably run into these problems:- Your parts require tolerances below ±0.001″ and conventional CNC shops can’t hold them
- Hardened materials are destroying your cutting tools and blowing your machining budgets
- Complex internal profiles keep getting rejected as “not machinable”
- Heat-affected zones are compromising part integrity on critical components
- Local shops quote weeks of lead time for jobs you need faster
- You need both wire AND sinker EDM but can’t find one shop that does both
What is Wire EDM?
Wire EDM uses a thin electrically charged brass wire to cut through conductive materials with extreme precision. The process happens underwater with no physical contact, so there’s no tool wear, no mechanical stress, and no heat-affected zones. You can cut hardened materials after heat treatment without compromising part integrity. Key difference from sinker EDM: Wire cuts completely through material like a scroll saw. Sinker creates cavities and blind features. The geometry determines which process you need. What Wire EDM Makes Possible
Cut Hardened Materials Without Compromise Machine tool steels, carbide, Inconel, and titanium at full hardness. No annealing required, no re-hardening after machining, no heat-affected zones weakening critical areas. Achieve Tolerances Conventional Machining Can’t Hold ±0.0001″ on complex profiles. Cut internal corners with radii as small as 0.005″. Produce surface finishes down to 8 Ra µin when your application demands it. Eliminate Burrs and Stress on Delicate Parts Zero cutting force means no deformation on thin sections. Parts come off the machine burr-free and stress-free, ready for assembly or next-operation without secondary finishing.CALL (972) 271-9028 TO GET A QUOTE TODAY
Our Wire EDM Capabilities
Stamping Dies & Punches: Precision die sections, punch profiles, and clearance fits in hardened tool steel. Cut after heat treatment to eliminate distortion. Injection Mold Components: Core pins, ejector holes, and complex cavity profiles with the tight tolerances injection molding demands. Aerospace & Defense Parts: Turbine components, structural brackets, and mission-critical hardware in titanium, Inconel, and superalloys with full traceability. Materials We Cut: Tool steels, stainless steel, titanium, tungsten carbide, Inconel, Hastelloy, brass, copper, aluminum, and exotic alloys. If it conducts electricity, we can cut it.Is Wire EDM Right for Your Project?

Frequently Asked Questions
How tight of tolerances can you hold?
We hold ±0.0001″ on precision work. Typical jobs run ±0.0005″ to ±0.001″ depending on material, geometry, and part complexity. We’ll confirm achievable tolerances when we quote your job.
How long does a wire EDM job take?
Standard jobs run 1-2 weeks. Complex or high-volume work may take longer. Rush service is available for time-critical projects. Call us to discuss your timeline.
What’s the maximum part size you can cut?
Our largest machine handles workpieces up to 33″ x 20″ x 16″ and 2,200 lbs. Smaller parts run on equipment sized appropriately for the job. Contact us with your part dimensions and we’ll confirm fitment.
How does wire EDM cost compare to conventional machining?
Wire EDM costs more per hour than CNC milling, but often costs less overall. You eliminate tool wear on hardened materials, skip annealing and re-hardening cycles, and reduce scrap on complex geometries. For many parts, EDM is the most cost-effective path to a finished part.
What files do you need to quote a job?
We accept STEP, IGES, DXF, DWG, and PDF files. We can also work from physical parts or hand sketches. For accurate quotes, we need geometry, material, tolerances, surface finish requirements, and quantity.
